In the weeks leading up to the introduction of the Cruiserweight Division on Raw, Noam Dar was one of the earliest names announced to be part of the division, along with the likes of Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander, Gran Metalik, TJ Perkins, Jack Gallagher, Akira Tozawa, Tomasso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, and more.

Only a few of these names have made their debuts so far, but this is because a handful of them still have to finish up their independent dates before joining the division. Jack Gallagher, Gargano and Ciampa have recently finished their final independent dates and are expected to join Raw soon.

Dar is expected to finish up sometime this month and join Raw very shortly. He will add to the unique blend of cruiserweights on Raw, which is just beginning to re-establish its Cruiserweight Division in a brand new manner.

It will be extremely interesting to see what Dar’s place in the Cruiserweight Division will be. It is also highly likely that Dar will simultaneously work at NXT as well, as some of the Cruiserweight talents have, such as Cedric Alexander and Lince Dorado, to name a couple. Gargano and Ciampa will also be floating back and forth between NXT and Raw.

Dar has had an interesting journey in the British independent scene. His trainer Kid Fite took to Facebook to tell a great story to share about Noam Dar and his progress to get where he has today:

Dar’s trainer has full faith in him and has seen the ups and downs that he has gone through. Now it’s our time to see the work Dar has put into PWA.

I hope he won’t mind me saying this but when he started training all those years ago he was just a young slightly out of shape kid, he wasn’t jacked, he wasn’t 6 foot 5. Looking back at it, you would have been forgiven for thinking he didn’t stand a chance of making it to the WWE.

What happened over the coming years is that kid worked his arse off, he got in fantastic shape, took every booking he could, made his name and became not only a man but one of the best wrestlers in the world today.

He is living proof that if you want something bad enough you can get it and his journey will be used to motivate trainees for years to come.

The best of it all, as he started training young, people forget that Noam is still only in his early 20’s. His best is yet to come and I can’t wait to see it.”
