The game is set in Vinyl City, a futuristic metropolis controlled by No Straight Roads, a huge EDM record label. Electronic Dance Music is considered the only acceptable genre in Vinyl City, and NSR work hard to suppress all other kinds of music. This is a problem for indie rock band Bunk Bed Junction, consisting of playable characters Mayday and Zuke.

Bunk Bed Junction are looking to make it big in Vinyl City, but NSR and its authoritarian CEO Tatiana believe that rock music is outdated. Unwilling to accept rejection, the pair plan to lead a musical revolution against the dominance of NSR, using their talents in rhythm-based attacks.

In gameplay terms, Bunk Bed Junction will fight back by timing their attacks to the beat, firing notes like bullets, and transforming props into weapons. In between epic boss battle concerts, the pair will be free to explore Vinyl City, building up their fanbase.

No Straight Roads will be coming to PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One
